WOOT WOOT!  It's Five Minute Friday, I love this!
Goal, to write for 5 minutes straight on a given topic...

Here we go.........

TOPIC:  Together

START:

Together: Togetherness: Family: Unity

I strive to bring togetherness and unity to my family.  Someday's it honestly seems like an impossible challenge.  With 4 children and their ages so spread out, it can be extremely difficult to get us all together and agreeable on the same thing.

The teen likes to watch different Television than my 6 year old, my two pre-teen boys like yet other television from both of their sisters and of course, I prefer something yet completely different.

Board games are also very difficult for family time and togetherness, because again the youngest is in a different developmental level than the rest of us and her games are "baby".

So how do I promote unity and togetherness in my family?  Through nature and photography.  One thing all 5 of us have a passion for is photography.  It doesn't matter that here, we are all at different levels, because all photographers have a different eye and view.

We head out to an area, armed with camera's and shoot the afternoon away, will bonding.  It may not be the way your family does it, but it definitely works for mine.  We all look forward to the days when we can go out together and shoot.

Nice job - I love these five minute Fridays, too. Look forward to them each week. Have you tried the game, Phase Ten? It works well for multiple ages, varied skills. It's a favorite in our family - we have worn out several decks. Love the idea of photo shoots together - fun!

I love this! What a wonderful way to find common ground for your family. Not only does it create a shared experience, but it gives you quite a bit of documentation, too. What a fantastic idea!
